Platinum Jubilee Celebration Day - Advanced Notice

On Friday the 27th May, the school will be holding a special day to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Each class will be studying a different decade from the reign of Queen Elizabeth II with classes paired with each other. Children can come to school in non-uniform dressed in clothes from their class decade (see below) or in something red, white or blue.

1950s:   Harriers and Hawks

1960s:   Dragonflies and Grasshoppers

1970s:   Kites and Kestrels

1980s:   Otters and Falcons

1990s:   Ospreys and Merlins

2000s:   Squirrels and Hedgehogs

2010s:   Rabbits and Eagles

We will also be providing a free picnic lunch for all children that will include a choice of ham, cheese, tuna and jam sandwich, crisps, sausage roll, cake, strawberries and a drink. Children will select their sandwich choice on Thursday 26th May.

Please email the school office (admin@forestview.gloucs.sch.uk) if you would not like your child to take up the free lunch on this day.

As there will be no alternative provided by the school, parents should ensure that their child comes to school with lunch provided from home should they choose not to receive the free lunch on this day.
