FSM and Pupil Premium

21st Sep 2021

Dear parents & carers,

If your family is in receipt of various benefits, including child tax credits, universal credit or income support, you should complete an application for Pupil Premium free school meals (this is different to the Universal school meals everyone in reception class, Year 1 & Year 2 gets). This means you will get any vouchers currently offered by the government to cover meals in school holidays (currently approx. £15 a week per child) You will also get reduced rates at our breakfast and after school clubs. Should there be a future lockdown you would also get any vouchers offered by the government or local authority. We would urge you to do this as soon as possible. If you are unsure if you qualify, we recommend you apply anyway. To receive the vouchers for October half term you need to have applied by midday on Friday 24th September. The school also receives additional funding for all children who are eligible for pupil premium which can help to fund a number of school strategies aimed at supporting the academic progress of this group of children. Please apply online at www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals or Google 'Gloucestershire free school meals' to complete your application
