Grasshoppers

Our whole school topic this term is ‘ Games Wide Open.’ Our topic will include some traditional tales along with stories / poems from different habitats around the world. The end of the topic will focus on France where the Summer Olympics will be held.

Our Summer term will begin with lots of opportunities for growing. We will plant some beans and record our observations of how they change over time. We will also grow a selection of other vegetables / seeds / flowers which we will plant in outside area.

Later in the term we will begin to look at different countries / habitats around the world ending in France to learn about the upcoming Olympics.

This homework document also contains more details for English and Maths that is taught this term and how you can help your child at home. Please continue to hear your child read regularly. They receive a shiny for each entry into their communication book and are rewarded with a prize from the shiny shop which they love.

PE will continue to take place on Mondays and Tuesdays. Our focus this term will be throwing, catching and dance. We will also be continuing with our Forest School sessions too. Finally, feel free to come and see a member of the team if you have any questions.
