You would have no doubt heard Boris Johnson’s announcement last night which suggested that the earliest that schools will start reopening will be the 1st June. If schools do reopen on this date it will be for year groups Reception, Year 1 and Year 6.
At the moment the Government have not given schools any guidance on what the return might look like or how schools will implement social distancing rules, hand washing regimes or put in place criteria around the wearing of PPE.
We appreciate that this is a very worrying time for us all but we will do everything that we can to ensure the safety of children, staff and other site users. It is our top priority.
School leaders are meeting today to discuss how we might start reopening the school but any decision that we make will be based on Government guidance and safety.
We will update you further over the coming days and weeks as we start to finalise the plans that we put in place. No doubt many of you have unanswered questions about the latest announcement but please do be patient and give us time to finalise these plans.
Staff remain committed to supporting you through this difficult time so please do contact us if you require any support.
Take care everyone and stay safe.
