Forrest View

School Closed to all Pupils

5th Jan 2021

You will no doubt be aware of last night's announcement about school closures.

As a result of this Forest View Primary will be completely closed to all pupils today. This will enable staff to mobilise and implement its contingency plan for this situation.

From Wednesday learning for those children not eligible for school will receive home learning tasks via the schools Seesaw and Tapestry platforms. Today staff will be in contact with those not currently accessing these platforms to make sure they can access the home learning activities. Activities have already been uploaded to these platforms for you to access today.

If you are an active key worker (having to leave the home each day to provide an essential service) then your child is eligible for in school provision. This will be provided between 9am and 3pm and will mirror home learning tasks. If you think your child is eligible for this school provision then please contact the school to book your child in. Phone Lines will open for this from 9.30am today and will be busy so please be patient.

If your child is classed as being vulnerable or has an EHCP then we will make contact with you today to invite your child in to school.

As always regardless of what your situation staff are on hand to support you at this very difficult time. Staff will be in contact with you regularly to check that you are ok and able to access the home learning tasks.

We will update you further over the coming days when things change or with extra information. For now stay safe everyone and look after yourselves.
