Home Learning

6th Jan 2021

Y1-6:

Home learning lessons will go live each day at 8am in the morning through Seesaw.

Each day there will be a maths, English and topic based lesson to complete alongside activities in reading, mini-maths and spelling. These lessons are aligned to what the children would have been doing in school this term.

Lessons are designed to provide around 3 hours of work a day for your child and it is up to you, with your child, to decide how this will be structured. Each phase in the school has released a timetable to support with structuring the day on Seesaw which is also available on the school website.

Teachers will be monitoring your child’s learning and will be commenting on it each day. If you need any support with home learning then please contact your child's class teacher by email. Email addresses and additional homework tasks can be viewed on the class pages of the school website.

EYFS:

All home learning will be through Tapestry each day and will be available from 8am.

Activities will be a mixture of short tasks and play-based activities which are aligned to what the children would have been doing in school each day. They will cover all areas of the EYFS curriculum with tasks in maths, English, phonics and topic each day.

Tasks are designed to last around 3 hours a day (including play activities) and it is up to you to decide how these will be structured. A timetable has been uploaded to Tapestry to support with this and is also available on the school website alongside additional homework tasks.

Teachers will be monitoring your child’s learning and will be commenting on it each day. If you need any support with home learning then please contact your child's class teacher by email.
