Staff Members

At Forest View we have a large and experienced team of staff who work with the children and support their learning.

All enquiries should be directed through the office.

The parents and carers of children at the school also have staff emails and can contact their child's class teacher at a time to suit them. We aim to respond to all emails within 48 hours.

Senior Leadership Team

Mr B Lyons

Headteacher

I became the head teacher at Forest View in 2010 after spending a period of time as the school's deputy head teacher. I believe that every child should have the right to a good education no matter what their background. I make sure that every member of staff ensures that every child at Forest View has access to the excellent schooling that we offer and that no child is ever disadvantaged. I enjoy working with the whole school community to ensure that the outcomes for our children are the best that they can be.

Miss J Woskett

Deputy Headteacher

I have taught at Forest View for the past 5 and half years and love every minute of it.  Each day brings a new challenge and learning experience for all of us lucky enough to work and attend here.  This year I have the privilege of teaching a Year 4/5 class.  I enjoy preparing the children for their next steps in life.

Mrs S Anderson

Inclusion Manager

I qualified as a teacher quite a few decades ago and I have worked in many schools. Several years ago I became a Special Educational Needs specialist.  As an inclusion Manager I have a range of responsibilities which involve helping children with any type of difficulty to ensure they enjoy school and make good progress.  I do a lot of listening and problems solving as well as frequently meeting with a range of different professionals in order to improve the outcomes for a child.  It is a joy to see a child blossom into a confident young person having overcome their difficulties through all the extra support we provide at Forest View School.

Mrs L Bailey

Upper School Leader

I have taught at Forest View for the past six years and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I feel privileged to work in such a caring and supportive school environment.  I teach the eldest children in the school (year 6).   I particularly enjoy seeing the children grasp new concepts.  It is lovely to see the children feeling proud of both their work and achievements. Working with children is incredibly rewarding and I love that everyday is different.

I joined Forest View Primary School as a teacher in September 2001 and since this time I have taught Reception, Key Stage One and Lower Key Stage Two. I currently teach Year 1.

Being a teacher is a fulfilling career because I am part of building and shaping a future generation and helping children to realise that their hopes and dreams are within their reach. Watching children grow and develop throughout the year and seeing them achieve their goals, is to me, the greatest aspect of being a teacher.

Mrs H Haworth

During my time teaching at Forest View I have found the school an extremely friendly and welcoming place. I really enjoy teaching at Forest View and particularly enjoy teaching KS1. Teaching is so rewarding being able to make a positive difference in all areas of a child’s development. The best part of teaching is being able to create lasting memories, having fun with the children whilst learning. It is very rewarding to help children work towards and achieve their goals, and see how proud they are with their achievements.

Over the years I have seen many pupils leave Forest View, who have become outstanding young people, with huge aspirations for their future. I am looking forward to my role this year.
